With the Digicel phones still mostly not working communication with the people on the ground is insanely difficult. Half the time messages go out on the internet - go to someone in the USA - Canada or elsewhere in this giant world -- and then BACK to Haiti to the right person.
So - here we go again - testing the system we've come to rely on in the last ten days ...
WE IMMEDIATELY need this for a partial foot amputation:
*Topical thrombin
*Gelfoam
Hand-held bovie
Sliver nitrate
Osteotome
The first two are musts. If anyone in Haiti has this and can tell us where to meet you or get it, we will help 18 year old Bernard with it ... and be eternally grateful to you. We need it by tomorrow, Saturday.
