Last week Gigi and Special Friend made the trek down to see us. Gigi did not know that we had a little something up our sleeves that Special Friend was in on. After they arrived we headed to a yummy pizza place. As we ate and chatted I turned to Gigi and said, "Now, I just want you to know that I don't want you guys to leave so late tonight because I don't want the girls to go to bed in the wee hours of the morning." His expression was priceless because he thought I was telling him he had to leave early but he wasn't quite understanding the last part. I then announced, "Well, the girls and I are going to go back with you today." Heehee! He was so surprised and so excited.
The day was just too beautiful though to spend it in the car so we took the girls to a park here in town for some play in the warm 74 degree temps. It was beautiful! Here are some pictures to prove that fact.
After our park adventure and some last minute packing, we jumped in the van and headed home with Gigi for a week of family and friends! It was wonderful to be back up north. Oh, how I had missed it.
