The weather has been absolutely gorgeous here. Just this morning I saw Daffodils and Crocus in FULL bloom. I was swooning. Flowers! Oh, how I love it. One thing I desperately am going to miss about our old home (which is currently for sale and needs to sell NOW, so if you need a new home in a great community, let me know ;) are the tulips I had planted along the driveway. I love tulips. Beautiful!

Last Wednesday we took the girls to a local nature preserve for a picnic lunch and hike. It was so beautiful. Peanut had a ball hiking on her own and investigating everything. Pumpkin had a ball being bounced all about in her ATV...err, I mean, her all terrain stroller. (I just have to say that I found that thing at a garage sale for $10 and am so thankful I picked it up. It does a supreme job of going on hikes!)

Check out this little girl with pig tails. Oh, I love her!

We found this Birch tree on our hike and were amazed by it's camouflaged appearance. It was just beautiful.

Here is the little dictator in her stroller. She let us know when we had stopped for too long and needed to get going again. She is good at that.

It was a perfect day. After our hike, we took the girls to a park with a playground. Peanut does not get the whole park with playground and park without playground. She was a bit disappointed when we got out of the car at the nature preserve and there was no playground. We made it up to her.
Pumpkin is all over the playground thing and showing her adventurous, brave spirit. Oh dear!

Storytime....
Peanut has a new "friend" named Olie. This is pronounced with a long o sound. They are phone friends and talk on her Barbie phone all of the time. He calls to tell her when he is sick. The other day he called and told her he had a stinky bug in his house. He has also asked her to a movie about dinosaurs and to go to Kroger's after. We haven't let her go yet. She is only 3 and he is a boy...albeit imaginary...but still. Yes, he is imaginary, but we feel like we know him well. If we do let her go, Daddy says we have to give her a curfew. We're not sure if it should be real or imaginary, though.
Pumpkin...well she is just ornery. Our friends up north are convinced that I am exaggerating because she was so sweet and ladylike. Well...she is ornery folks! She has now figured out how to climb up on Peanut's little rocking chair and climb on to the couch. I also saw her standing in our little toy wagon last night hanging on to the handle bar. She then forward flipped herself out right onto the floor on her back. Give that baby a 10!!!!
And to end with, my favorite picture from our hike.
