I have a busy event calendar coming up between teaching classes, my art show, Parade of Homes, Habitat Restore and some speaking engagements. (Oooh, can you say overscheduling?) Anyway, I was looking for a creative way to display my business calling cards. I wanted something that people would remember and not your typical store bought office supply card holder. So, I "shopped" my workshop to see what I could find. I think I came up with a few creative solutions.

The first was this hand. It is displayed on my desk because I love the motivational quotes that are on it. It was a junk find. It was ugly brown so I painted it bright blue and then decoupaged the paper on it. It holds the cards quite nicely! I can place them on the thumb or even between the rest of the digits. What do you think? Would you give me a high five on this one?
OK, does anyone know what this thing is called? I saw it, liked it because it was rusty and chippy so I snagged it. I had no idea what I would use it for at the time.

But this "whatchamacallit" actually makes for a great biz card holder when you flip it on its side.

This one is not your "plane" ole holder either. I used a hand planer to tuck some cards in. I think it "wood" make an adorable frame too!

OK, are you game for this one? Dominoes glued together to hold the cards. Easy peasy. I can't take credit for the idea though. I was inspired by Sue Whitney creator of JunkMARKET Style as well as Michelle, aka AuntieQ18, a member on JunkMarket Style too. Oh, you could play around a lot with these...so many possibilities!

Let me know what you think and which is your favorite.
Do you have a creative way for displaying your cards? Do tell!
Happy Monday and all it's Makings,
