Easter

We didn't make a decision on what to do for Easter until Friday night before since the girls were still a bit sick. They were feeling better and were less "spotty" so we decided to head up to Gigi's. Peanut was over the moon as we loaded the car up on Saturday afternoon to pick Daddy up from work and head north. We even broke out Pumpkin's new car seat for the trip. Peanut said, "Ahh, she looks so cute."

Pumpkin thought she was pretty big stuff in her big girl car seat. Still debating on if we will have her face forward or backward. I think my Mama's heart wants to put her in facing rear again as I know it is safer. For the trip we had her face forward as we thought it would "help" with traveling.

We had a wonderful Easter Day with Gigi. We all got up very early to head to the sunrise service at his church. Scripture and worship were shared as we remembered what this day was all about. We also shared in a time of communion which is a powerful thing to do on Easter. So amazed by what He did for me, for my girls, for you, for everyone.

We had a lazy, fun day together after church. It was a beautiful day so we spent most of our time outside.

Boy, do we love these girls!

Peanut and I colored some Easter eggs while Pumpkin had her afternoon beauty rest. She was pretty amazed that those white eggs were turning colors before her very eyes. I was praying that the dye wouldn't get on her pretty Easter dress! (Why I didn't change here, I don't know!)

Peanut requested that she get her Barbie Jeep out so she could do some driving on Gigi's farm. The last time she had this thing outside, she looked like this and was not too sure about making it go....

Here she is on Sunday...a bit bigger and much more confident!

She got in the Jeep and said, "I want to go that way." So Gigi and I followed her down the pasture along the road. She would get so frustrated when the Jeep wasn't going the way she wanted to go, but would get it back on track. When we got to the end of the pasture, she said, "I want to go that way." We explained that was as far as we could go and she explained, "But I want to go to Aunt S.'s house." She had jumped in that Jeep and knew that if she just kept going straight she would end up down the road at Gigi's sister's house! Too funny!

Of course there were lots of treats, egg hunting, and just plain fun all day long. Special Friend came over in the afternoon and spent the evening with us too. We had a yummy dinner and squeezed in a little bit of Dominoes before we packed up and headed back home.
