Last Tuesday, Pumpkin's actual birthday, I took the girls to the circus! We met up with a sweet friend and her boys. We saw tigers, camels, elephants and a dancing horse. One of the tigers that we saw was in a very bad mood and it made me wonder, "What do I do as a Mother if that thing charges that crazy woman in the cage?" It made my heart beat a little faster but all ended well.

It was a fun time with friends minus the stuffy room, stinky stuff, and the 6 inch wide plank that we sat on for 2 1/2 hours. :)

I began to notice that Peanut got less and less enthusiastic about the circus and more and more pale as it went on. I felt her and she was really warm but it was really warm in that huge room we were in. By the time we got home though she had a temperature of 103 degrees! YIKES! It never ceases to amaze me how fast sickness can strike. She was totally fine all day and then BOOM, SICK!
By the next day I noticed that Millie had some spots on her ankles and hands. Some even appeared to be blisters. After some detective work, I realized the girls had Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease. It is a virus that has to just run it's course. There is not much you can do for it. Both girls ended up with blisters and another member of our family came down with it too (not me, though).
I think we are on the mend though. I'm hoping!
Here you can see the girls Skype-ing with Gigi. He loves being able to see the girls and talk to them via the computer. The girls like it as well. Pumpkin walks past the computer and just giggles when she sees his face. Too funny!

When the girls were sick on Wednesday, we received a fun surprise, Pumpkin's birthday gift from Dobbie and Papa. It was a hit and continues to be as you can see below.
