Our first "trip" is to a park on the north side of our community. (We have only been to 4 of the parks in town. There are at least 5 more that I know of! Crazy!!!!) It is quite something to experience. It is like a playground on steroids. Here are some pictures of what the playground offered...

And here is where Peanut spent most of her time. She was making supper out of sticks, grass and mulch! Watch out Rachael Ray! Even Pumpkin got in on the yumminess!

Of course we spent time on the swings...

Now you can come with the girls and I to one of my favorite places...the Farmer's Market held on Saturday morning. We got to listen to some really good kids music and bluegrass. We also watched a juggler for a bit. Then there was the produce...YUM! We bought some peaches and enjoyed an iced coffee and mint chocolate chip scone while listening to the music.

(If your local community has a farmer's market...GO! They are a wonderful place to meet people and purchase the freshest produce right from the grower's hands.)
On Saturday evening after Daddy was home from work and we had a yummy supper of pot roast and homemade bread, we went for a hike on a trail that is just down the road from our place. We had so much fun listening to the locusts and seeing the beautiful trees.

On Sunday afternoon we took the girls to a trail that goes through town. The first half of the trail was unveiled just this past June and is awaiting phase II to be completed very soon. We also ended up walking around the downtown area and eating supper at our favorite (so far) Mexican restaurant. There is quite a bit of art along this trail...so get on your shoes and come with us!

Did you bring your hat? It can be a bit sunny.

Or maybe you'll be lucky and get to be pushed in a stroller. :)

Make sure to stop and read the signs so that you will get educated on the history along the trail.

Now let's head downtown which is really beautiful and full of little shops and restaurants.

Shabby Chic?

I'm sure you're a bit worn out after all of our touring today.

It was fun showing you around a bit. I'm hoping to have you over to our place soon so I can "show" you around. I wanted things just perfect but I may have to settle and show you now and later. I'm having trouble figuring out where to hang things and we don't have curtains up yet.
One little short story...Peanut isn't usually much of a breakfast eater and will typically eat a small bowl of dry cereal. This morning that is what she chose. She also was laying on the floor watching a Madeline movie because we are currently OBSESSED with Madeline. Goodbye Elmo, Hello Madeline! :) I laid Pumpkin on the floor so she could "cruise" around. (She isn't really crawling yet, but she doesn't care...she scoots all over and so fast!) Pumpkin spotted that bowl of Honey Nut Cheerios and was on a mission. She made a bee line for Peanut and wouldn't give up. I kept moving her...Peanut kept moving. She was determined to have Cheerios! Finally she with all her might crawled on top of Peanut and DOVE into the bowl with her hand. Success! Out came a hand FULL of Cheerios that went straight to her sweet little mouth, but alas Mommy quickly grabbed that sweet little hand and extracted the yummy little treats. Such Determination!!!!

Did you like my little tour idea? I think I might take you on some other tours around town. There are some fun things that I would like to show all of you and this is probably the easiest way to show you! Let me know!
