Making It Home

Here are some shots from our past week in our new community. We have had fun exploring and checking things out. The girls have adjusted really well and seem to enjoy sharing a bedroom. I was worried about that but it has been fine so far.

The girls love our patio that is off of our kitchen/dining area.

I bought a little pool for Peanut to use on the patio and that has been a HIT. She loves having her own personal swimming area. ;)

A very sad thing that has turned into a good thing is that we have had more family meals this week than we have had in ages! How sad is that? Between Daddy's work schedule and school, we just didn't get to have meals together alot. We have even added Pumpkin to our meal time. She sits in the high chair and watches with eagerness as we eat, secretly hoping that she will get to eat too. ;) She sure is something!

We love the library!

Daddy and Peanut bought some fish for pets since we couldn't bring Arthur with us. It would have cost quite a bit extra to keep him in our new place and we just couldn't justify bringing him, so he has a wonderful new home with a good friend of mine that I worked with at the preschool. So Peanut and Pumpkin each got a fish!
New Pets
BUT...they only lasted a day! The next morning they were both floating. Peanut thought they were sleeping all day until Daddy explained what had happened. She took it very well. We have promised to try again! Any advice on keeping fish in a fishbowl?

On Saturday the girls and I checked out the local Farmer's Market which was amazing! So many booths, so much produce, singing, instruments, flowers...it was awesome! That may become a Saturday morning tradition. It is also open on Tuesday afternoon. Peanut picked out grape tomatoes for us to buy. She loved her selection!

On Sunday evening we made our first family adventure. We headed to Hardin Ridge Recreation Area. It was beautiful and on this huge lake. Peanut loved getting her toes in the water and Pumpkin LOVED being strapped to Daddy's back. You will see how much she loved it in these pictures!

And last but not least....a little someone is going to be moving VERY soon. Here is proof.
