Home Again

We returned in the wee hours this morning at 1:10 a.m. from South Carolina. Our journey began on Sunday, June 6. Dobbie, Papa and one of our nieces came up to get the girls and I to take us home with them. We also stopped in Cincinnati to pick up Daddy's sister and her girls. Off we went in a van and a car. (Daddy could not go for the whole time due to work and school but was able to fly down for two days to spend with everyone in the middle of our trip.)

Our trip was up in the air after the accident. Everyone was unsure if it would be a good idea for us to proceed with it. I was unsure also at first but knew I would have help with the girls and it would be an excellent diversion for Peanut who had many questions about the accident. What could be better than COUSINS?

So...off we went covered in many prayers for protection and safety.

The kids had fantastic times of swimming in Dobbie and Papa's pool, fishing at their pond, helping with the horse, and just being together.

Peanut even caught her first fish while fishing at the pond. The picture that I have is not the greatest but I have to share because I was so proud of her!!!!

Pumpkin had a ball playing in the baby pool sloshing water in cups and flipping her cute little body in the water.

Many hours were spent in the pool by the kids during the late afternoons after hot days in the southern heat.

These two little girls turned into quite the fish floating with their arm floaties and noodles! Their older cousins were super protective of them helping them, playing with them in the water, and encouraging them.

The girls' aunt, Daddy's sister is now a published author. She had a special reading of her book one afternoon for some of my other sister-in-laws' friends along with refreshments and face painting for our guests. It was so fun to listen to this book that she has worked so long and hard on. You can find out more info about her book Cracker McMunkle Crow HERE.

Does it get better than a face smeared with face paint, dirt and sweat? You know it's been a good, fun day if you look like this happy little face.

I have more pictures to share but will have to do that later. We had a great time! It is such a blessing to see my two littles interact with their cousins. They love them so much. Grateful is an understatement!
