Strawberry Shortcake

We are slowly adjusting to our new schedule as Hubby's summer session has started. He got ONE DAY OFF in between spring and summer sessions. Wasn't that thoughtful of his school to give the students ONE DAY OFF? We were surprised that was all he got and then he went and got a horrible case of Gout. In one respect it was good he got it over the weekend so he could recuperate before classes but then we didn't get to celebrate on his ONE DAY OFF.

He is feeling much better now. We took him to the clinic on-campus on Monday before classes started just to be sure that was what he was dealing with. They prescribed some medicine that he took when we got home which he had a horrible reaction to...pounding heart, not able to say a clear thought, more than dizzy...it was bad. Needless to say he didn't take that anymore and thankfully the inflammation cleared up.

On Thursday we picked him up in between classes and took the girls out for lunch at our favorite Hispanic restaurant downtown and then hit a Strawberry Shortcake Fundraiser that was being held in the city square. Pumpkin thought it was SCRUMPTIOUS!

Kid Story: The other day Peanut came in to the kitchen and said, "I want some Christmas water." This threw us and we weren't quite sure what she met but she was adamant about Christmas water. We finally discerned that she wanted water in her snowman glass. She is always making us laugh.

This morning I watched Pumpkin climb up on a chair beside the couch, climb over to the couch, flip herself off the couch head first, land on her back, lay for a minute to get her bearings straight, jump up and try to climb back up on the couch. SHE IS A BUSY BEE!

We're off to our favorite place tomorrow...the Farmer's Market!
