I have a few short videos of the girls that I thought I would share with you. I had forgotten about them.
The first one is of Pumpkin having her first ice cream treat. Her Gigi is the culprit behind this. Haha! This would have been last summer probably in August.
The next video is of her swinging at one of our park visits after we had moved. She loves to swing just like her big sister. We are all very anxious for more spring like weather so we can get to the parks again.
This video is from September, I believe. We went to a festival with Gigi and Special Friend. We were watching some frontier dancing when they asked for volunteers from the audience. Peanut in a sudden display of bravery went right up to dance in the big circle. We were very proud of her. There is a distinct giggle at the beginning of the video that belongs to my sweet Back Door friend who was there with her family! She was giggling because every time Peanut was in the front she would turn to be sure we were all looking at her! (She is the littlest one in the circle.)
The last video is of the girls from just a couple of weeks ago. NO ONE in the world can make Pumpkin giggle the way Peanut can. I just love that!
Here a couple funny Peanut stories. If you follow me of Facebook, you will already have heard them. A couple of nights ago we were heading downstairs to get a book for bedtime and Peanut was telling me that Jesus is such a nice person. I heard her say, "Jesus is the King." I was thinking, "Wow! How quickly they get it. I am so proud of her." Just as quickly as I thought this, I heard her say, "Jesus is the king of the North Pole." Oh dear! Either she has him confused with Santa Claus or she knows that Jesus is the King of each part of the world and was just naming one part. I will hope it was the latter. ;)
Our days are busy so getting a shower somedays is a miracle in and of itself. If I do get a shower it has to be FAST as the girls are playing together while I am in the shower. Since I am in a rush the shaving of legs RARELY happens. Thankfully it is winter, so who cares. I believe it is an extra warmth barrier. ;) A few days ago, Peanut was touching my leg and said in alarmed tone, "Mom, you are pokey! I'm not!" It reminded me of a line from one of my Hubby's favorite bands..."Winter legs give me heart attacks!"
I believe that very soon I will be sharing a video of Pumpkin's first steps. She has been taking a step here and there. It is too fast so by the time I get the video camera, she is standing still or plopped down. This morning Daddy was leaving for school and she was standing by the couch. She turned herself around, took two small steps, and waved good-bye to him. It melted that heart of his into a puddle of mush, mine too! She is waving now and has started clapping. Love it!
