Here is what we've been up to. We played "Hair Salon" and did Peanut's hair up in curlers and then got her all ready to go to the ball just like Cinderella.

We get a bit lonesome at supper time without Daddy so Peanut invited some dinner guests to supper one night.

Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head came for supper. They enjoyed a yummy egg scramble and Oscar the Grouch Smoothies hence the green moustache on Peanut. (Click on the colored words for a link to my crafty recipe blog and a recipe for the smoothies.) Mrs. Potato Head even got asked to sleep-over with Peanut in her bed. So exciting. Mr. Potato Head was pretty bummed as he got put back in the Potato Head basket. I'm just not that Mom, the one who allows boys over for sleep-overs.
We've been busy making Valentine's Day crafts and cards. (Sorry to say that the ones I need to mail are still sitting on our table. Oops! We'll just call them belated Valentines!) Here is Peanut decorating our sliding glass door for Valentine's with the window markers she got for Christmas. They are wonderful. I highly recommend these Crayola wonders.

We made scratch and sniff paintings thanks to a great idea that I found over at Flowerpatch Farmgirl. This is a great blog that I stumbled on and it ends up we went to college together although we didn't really know each other. The internet and a small college make it a small world.

But when we finally did make it out this past Thursday...well we lived it up! We went to the library and spent over an hour in the brand spanking new children's department. Have I mentioned how much I love our library? Heehee! I.LOVE.IT! Oh, how we missed it. So very thankful it is open again. Pumpkin was pretty excited too as you can see from the pictures below.

Funny library story...Peanut has been asking a lot of questions about her body and what is inide of it. I told her we could find some books about the body. She IMMEDIATELY said, "I want to see the stomach. I want to see Jesus." I didn't say anything but when we found a book, she said the same thing again. I asked her if she thought Jesus lives in our stomachs and she said she did. Not sure where she got that idea. I told her that there would be pictures of what is inside our bodies, including the stomach but they wouldn't show Jesus inside of those parts. She could not figure this out because if Jesus lives inside of us, well then there should be a picture of Him included in the pictures of what is inside our bodies. So literal! :)
Back to our day out...We ate lunch at one of our favorite cheap-o places, Fazzoli's. We did a QUICK trip to Hobby Lobby and got groceries at Kroger's. One of us was pretty worn out. Take a guess who...

We got Daddy picked up and off to work and have been home since that point. We did have a Mommy Friend and her two sweet boys over on Friday for a playdate. That was a fun morning for all.
Daddy decided to take Peanut out on a Valentine's date last night after work. I told Peanut in the afternoon that a boy who loved her very much was going to come and take her out for supper later in the evening. At first she thought it would be Gigi. I told her that he was a boy and he does love her very much but it was a different boy. She thought for a bit and said, "It's Jesus! He is going to take me on a date." Not sure how Daddy can compete with Jesus but Peanut was pretty excited to get all dressed up and go out for a late supper at Bob Evan's with her Daddy all by herself. She did say on the way out, "I'll miss you so much Mommy."

This is what we're doing. Staying home. Being creative. Waiting and longing for spring!
Here are two short little videos of Pumpkin. You can just see her silliness ooze out of these. The second one shows her taking a step. She is SOOOOO close to just taking off. She can do 3 then falls down with a huge grin on her face. So funny! She knows that she has our attention when she does this sweet little trick. Even Peanut gets in on the fun and tells us when she looks like she's going to take some steps. She is currently sporting a big old purple bruise in the middle of her forehead. She whacked her head on the bathtub last night and our bed this morning. I'm thinking about changing her nickname to Bruiser. Any thoughts?
One last thing...we have been making and loving Jell-o Jigglers. Peanut calls them "Jingle Jell-os."
