Waiting for ...

Emma Joy

Ellie Mei

Our Article 5... It should have arrived on Monday but now it is Thursday and there is no sign of it. I am hoping it has already been sent but they just missed the notification. Please pray that we will receive notification of it soon!

After that we wait for our TA AND THEN WE GO ASAP!

We are thinking that we will not be able to travel in the end of May and just hoping and praying that the beginning of June will work out!

These two little girls need to get home soon! We can hardly wait to welcome them into our family!

Thank you Jesus for these precious little girls!

A Change of Plans

Visit
Last Friday afternoon I was ready to take on my to-do list and accomplish a million things before our visit from Dobbie and Papa. All that went out the window when Pumpkin woke up from her nap screaming and throwing up. I spent the next 4 hours holding her and watching helplessly as she continued to vomit every 10-15 minutes. After she had stopped we headed to pick Daddy up from work and I sent him in to the grocery to get some things and noticed that my stomach was uneasy. That uneasiness quickly got worse and turned into the flu like Pumpkin.
Visit
Saturday Dobbie, Papa, and one of our nieces were on there way to see us, knowing we were sick and to come at their own risk. I was feeling so out of it that when they arrived I was laying on the couch in my pajamas, not showered and I didn't care one bit.
Visit
On Sunday after a flurry of packing and getting meals stocked up for Hubby, we headed with Dobbie and Papa up north to their cabin. They had some things they were wanting to do on it and asked the girls and I to come too. After arriving Dobbie and I headed to Wal-Mart to get some groceries. Half-way through getting our groceries, I found Dobbie leaning on her cart saying, "I don't feel good."
Visit
We quickly headed back to find that my niece was sick also. The girls and I quarantined ourselves in a bedroom under the request of Papa who said, "Do not leave this room!" I listened to the sound of sickness most of the night while Papa cared for his two patients. The next morning we decided I should take the girls to Gigi's house until they were feeling better as Peanut still had not gotten sick and we didn't want Pumpkin to get it again.
Visit
So instead of spending 3-4 days together we really only got to spend 1 day with them because of THE FLU. YUCK! Hubby even got it and was on his own as we were up north. It was nasty stuff.
Visit
We were disappointed that most of us were sick and run down and that we didn't get to spend much time with each other. It was still so good to see them. We miss them so much.

So. Cal

We got the opportunity to hang out with some of our favorite Southern California Friends.

We loved visiting with the Edwards family!
Elliot and Jack playing conductor.

Rory loved taking care of "baby Bryce." It was funny watching them because Bryce is the same size as Rory, but she was such a little mom to him.

Disneyland Day 4- Time to Geek Out

On our last day in Disneyland we wore all our Disney clothes! Sarah decided we would go out with a bang and totally geek out!

It's okay Marty, wearing your Disney wear isn't that bad!

We started the day at the Character Breakfast. We're not sure who had more fun, Sarah or Jack. Bryce did not want any of the characters to touch him, and Marty posed with only a few characters, but found his doppelganger:

California Adventure:

We didn't spend much time at California Adventure. Jack was not impressed with the "Cars" characters and deemed them not real. He said their mouths didn't move.

We got to meet up with our friends Nick, Michele and Cruz

We ended the last night in Disneyland with good friends, a parade, Disney treats and a little Disney magic!

The Who Travels to China Saga!

Sorry, I'm milking this subject for all it's worth but it has been a challenging one at our house. We have put a lot of thought and prayer into it and...... drumroll please...

We have decide that that Sarah and Anna will go with Hubby and I.

There are so many reasons why they should go and why they should not go- they all make sense. We are thinking that Sarah will have challenges either way - whether she goes or stays home. If she goes she will be with us, she will be part of the experience and she will conquer some of her fears. She will see that she is our daughter forever. She will go to China and she will come home to HER home. By the time we get home she will have known her new sisters for 2 weeks! When it is all said and done she will be fine.

Our pictures will have her in them. That way the memories will be fun for her, too.

It will be challenging but it feels good and we will have fun!

We will be doing lots of praying and we will be asking for lots of prayers from you if that's okay!

So today the four of us hopped in the car to go and get our visas! I love getting things done - check this one off the list! UNTIL, we got there and found out they are open from 12-6pm ... except not on Wednesdays... they're closed on Wednesdays. How can you be closed on Wednesdays? Who on earth is closed on Wednesdays? Sundays yes, Saturdays maybe, even maybe on Mondays but Wednesdays?

Being the problem solvers we are - we went straight to get our pictures taken so tomorrow hubby can take them with him and order our visas. (the kids and I are not available to go tomorrow). So as of tomorrow we can check that off the list- yippee!!

Sisters Having Fun

They just love each other. They love being together. They loving playing. They love giggling. And they obviously love riding in the Jeep together. They were probably heading to Children's Place for the clearance racks.

The big one always watching out for the little one (notice the arm).

Keeping Bryce happy in line was not too hard. Upside down baby...

Our first ride was the Finding Nemo Ride. It had the longest line of all the rides!
