Finally...it feels like spring is here! We have been going on walks for the past few days and each day you could just feel it, the transition from winter to spring. Today when I picked hubby up after class, there were flowers planted in the planters on each corner around campus. It brought a smile to my face. Ahhh! Oh and those birds, we just can't get enough of their beautiful singing.

Monday night after Daddy got home from school we packed up the girls and went to the park. It was our first time there this year. We even hit up a new park in town that we hadn't gotten to visit last fall. I am telling you, this town has a ton of city parks. It's kind of fun to get in the car and say, "Which park are we going to today?"

The girls had a ball. Peanut who last fall was very timid at the playground, took off at full speed to the playground. She climbed everything, went down every slide and even rolled down a hill. Daddy and I both commented on the change in her confidence. We were so proud of her. She has always been good at striking up "playground friendships" and that hadn't changed. Of course each new friend was her "best friend" but so are the guys building the new apartments behind us, the woman in the parking lot at Wal-Mart today, and so on. She has alot of "best friends." ;)

On Sunday evening we were able to meet my best friend and her family for supper. The reason they were nearby was DisneyWorld. Ok, well we don't live near DisneyWorld but they just happened to be flying out of a nearby airport to go to DisneyWorld. It was so good to see them and catch up face to face. We hadn't seen each other since Thanksgiving. Yikes!

The big reason they were going to DisneyWorld is the two people in the below picture with Pumpkin. They are my BFF's grandparents and they surprised them a few months ago by telling them they were taking them to DisneyWorld. BFF said that her grandparents were more giddy than her own children about the upcoming trip. Isn't that just the sweetest?

It doesn't get cuter than this next picture. It just doesn't. This picture makes my heart just smile! She talked about him almost the whole way back home. They are buddies.

I did make the mistake of telling Peanut where our friends were going and that did not go over well. She was pretty sad that she wasn't going also. Some sweet talking and a bag of peach rings cured her and she was fine after that. Whew! Close call!

And now...just so you know and can be aware. There is a cabinet thief on the loose. She seems to be attracted to mixing bowls most specifically. She typically is wearing only one sock. She will more than likely blow raspberries at you. She will lure you in with her smile. If you have any information regarding the suspect please call her Mama or leave a comment.
